Edition 27 – ‘Best of golf in SA’ at Waikerie GC

Beginning their Riverland run Ben Hook from the Sunday Mail and Royal Adelaide Teaching Professional Daniel Blackwell head to Waikerie to review three holes.

Located 10 kms west of Waikerie just 2 hours drive from Adelaide the Waikerie Golf Club has large elevated greens surrounded by grassy mounds and hollows. This challenging course is bunker free. Par 72, 6100m

The Waikerie Golf & Country Club is a privately owned golf club, with guests welcome all year round.

Reviewed: 6th hole 153m Par 3

Strategically placed trees on this hole, don’t go left, right, long or short! Be mindful of the miss on the right hand side, could be deadly.

Reviewed: 8th hole 319m Par 4

A nice little hole this one, couple of different ways to play it. Iron off the tee or try driver over the top. Also check the video to see Ben explain how Waikerie name their courses after different wine varieties.

Reviewed: 13th hole 121m Par 3

One of the big features off this hole is the two tiered green. Quite a challenging hole, make sure you get that club selection right.
